The Southern Command Museum
Inside the War memorial, you have the Southern Command Museum which showcases the history of the Southern Command and various subdivisions of the Southern Command. From the arms and ammunition to various tales of bravery, the museum chronicles the rich history of the Southern Command









From arms and weapons to the history of the southern command and the historic wars fought and the documents, the museum has a rich collection of artefacts that will make you proud of the army.
One section of the museum is dedicated to the different institutions of the army that trains the personnel.











The big guns will not work without the ammunition. There’s a separate section that shows the different types of ordinances used in the army. From tank shells to our very own indigenous missiles, this section gives us an insight into them with a short description of each.










The memorial is open on all days beteen 9.30 am and 12 noon and 4 pm to 7 pm. This is a must visit place and will fill you with pride and patriotisim. After spending some time here, it was time to move on to the next place on the list. More about it in the next post.
